Now you can see WhatsApp call list on your Android calling screen

WhatsApp has released one of the helpful features to their app, Meta just announced they are planning to integrate the WhatsApp call list with the Google native Phone app.

The call list that can be seen on WhatsApp never appears in the phone list, if anyone wants to check the call log, they will have to open the WhatsApp call log to view the details. But that seems to be ending soon with the new update.

Merger of WhatsApp call list with Android

Google is enhancing WhatsApp more than ever. Last week, we saw WhatsApp allowing users to send messages to third-party apps and adding security updates to WhatsApp web variants.

Now with this new update, any call made through WhatsApp will appear on the native call log section on Android. No longer do you have to open WhatsApp and scroll through to see the call details.

Now, thanks to the new WhatsApp update, any information regarding WhatsApp calls will blend seamlessly with native phone call information.

The feature is not brand new for WhatsApp users, WhatsApp users on iPhone already have this option fusion into their system. Where everything can be viewed, all at once without jumping from one section of the phone to another.

Colour Tagging

The report suggests WhatsApp calls will have their own separate appearance compared to the native Android call log details. WhatsApp calls will feature a green WhatsApp tag attached to them, separating them from the native call signs.

The colour differentiation will help users separate the details about the call log apart without going through any complications.

In the future, we might see the same functionality rolling out on other messaging app variants in the market such as Signal, Telegram, Skype, and more.

But for now, WhatsApp for Android seems to be the only one trying to infuse its call site with the phone’s native structure. For more news on Tech, Subscribe to Tecxology.
