Instagram adds features like hide read receipts, themes and more!

Instagram releases one of the most demanding features by allowing users to turn off Seen messages. 

The feature was available on most apps in the market but Instagram users had no choice but to follow up on the read receipts.

New changes to Instagram

Until now, Instagram just launched a new feature to hide the Seen tag on the messages when they open up Insta DM. That’s not where the story ends here, Instagram also launched plenty of other features that allows for a more definite control over the DMs.

How to hide read receipts on Instagram?

No longer you have to carry the guilt for not replying quickly after seeing the text from your friends or family. Now you can hide the read receipts on Instagram in four simple steps:

1. Going to the Account Settings
2. Tap on messages
3. Go to Story replies
4. Here choose Show Read Receipts

Then you can toggle read receipts either on or off to all of your chats. Its that Easy!

How to edit messages easily on Insta?

Starting now, any insta users can now edit their messages but there is a time limit to it. You have the option of editing messages but only for 15 minutes after sending it. To do it, you will need to hold the message and choose the Edit option from the pop-up menu.

Then you can edit the message and just hit the Send button.

How to pin chats to the top of the inbox?

If constantly finding yourself looking at a specific message, then now you can pin to the top. Let’s say it’s a joke, or a recipe or an important note, now you can add it to the top of the inbox for quick access.

This saves you plenty of time scrolling down to find the message. The favorite option is a nice life improvement for the app.

Save your stickers and message with more option

Now you can save your favorite stickers in the DM for quick access. You just need to hold on to the sticker, then you will quickly find them top of the line the next time you go to stickers.

You can also send stickers, videos, photos, voice messages as a reply to a message. You just need to press on the message for a few seconds, then you will be given the option to choose between many different options mentioned above.

Handful of Themes

A new handful of themes are coming down to Insta, to make the app change its colors to your mood. There are some animated themes and other popular variants that are set to make your chat box look appealing every single day.

To make changes to the theme, you need to tap on the chat name, then go to the theme, here you can make changes to the theme.
