Indian Truecaller users are getting AI-call recording feature

Truecaller is getting a futuristic makeover as it now offers AI call recording features. The tool will also provide a transcription and summary of the entire call to the user easily without having to do anything manually.

On Monday, the app Truecaller announced their journey into the AI world like many mega brands recently by launching an AI-powered call recording feature to only India. 

The tool here will have a price tag on it, as it will not be allowed on the free version of the app. If you want to get access to the AI-recording feature, you will have to get enrolled in the Truecaller premium subscription.

The company said their new AI recording feature will work on both iOS and Android seamlessly without any problem. When you have the premium Truecaller package, you will easily be able to record incoming and outgoing calls directly right from the app.

What is Truecaller’s AI-call recording feature?

Since there are many call recording apps you can easily find in the market, the question then becomes what makes the AI-recording call stand out against the competitions?

Truecaller here leveraging the AI tech to summarize the entire call without having the user taking detailed notes on every aspect of the call. The AI here will figure out the meat of the conversation, running behind the scene without interrupting the call.

The wide variety of language support also makes it a better deal for the user who wants a summary of the call without having to listen to the entirety of the call from scratch.

Truecaller Move towards AI

Truecaller CPO (Chief product officer) Rishit Jhunjhunwala recently have put more emphasis on the app’s versatility and allowing the consumer to have more control over their conversation, by saying –

“We are constantly innovating cutting-edge solutions that enhance communication. As we continue to push these boundaries, we are thrilled to announce our AI-enabled call recording solution, which has always been a highly requested user feature,”

With the move towards AI, TrueCaller is promising to be a lot more than just a common phone number detecting service. The eye on AI from TrueCaller promises a lot more unique features probably in the making. We might see some of them rolling out in the near future.

As the company now amasses over 350 million users, we might see more implementation of AI to make some of the things on the app more convenient for users.

Truecaller AI-powered call price tag

Truecaller AI-call recording feature is now active for the people of India, the asking price for the plan sits at 75 Rs per month and people also have the option to opt out to the yearly plan, sitting at 529 Rs/ year.
