The tech giant Google announced to shut down the basic websites that were made with Google Business Profiles. These sites will be removed in March 2024. Websites made with Google Business Profiles will be removed and customers visiting your site will be redirected to your Business Profile instead.

Google Business Profile is a free tool for businesses and organizations to manage their online presence beyond Google. And help to customers find their business. Users can connect with their customers, post updates, list their products and services, share their menu and more options with that.
It will impact websites ending in business.site and negocio.site domain names. This temporary fix will be in place until June 10, 2024. Google will offer business owners a window of less than six months to update their online presence. If customers try out to visit a Business Profile website after June 10 customers will see “page not found”(404) error.

If your Ads campaign is linked through a website from your Google Business Profile, either change the link before March 1 to keep your ads running or choose to pause your campaigns.
If you are using a custom domain to direct traffic to your Google Business Profile website, visitors to this domain will be redirected to your Business Profile until June 10. To manage this transition, log in to hosting account and select the “Redirect” option or a similar feature to reroute your third-party domain to a different site before the specified date. The users update their Google Business Profile to point to a new website.”
