What is Microsoft’s Copilot AI?

Microsoft Copilot AI comprises OpenAI’s GPT-4 model for text prompt analyzation and DALL- E 3 for the text-to-image generation functionality. Which will be a powerful addition on the phone to utilize the GPT powered AI assistant.

Which might sound new, but in the last month, the British consumer technology brand Nothing rolled out ChatGPT android app on their smartphone line up. The feature allows them to place a quick setting widget for the app directly on the home screen. This allowed for ChatGPT voice assistant feature to be present on the home screen without opening the app.

Currently, there is a limitation set on smartphone assistants, as Android smartphone users have the option to choose between Google assistant, Bixby on Samsung, Amazon or DuckDuckGo. Now with the recent news of Google changing its AI chatbot Bard to gemini, android users can now pick Gemini as a Google Assistant.

Activation of Copilot AI on Android devices

All android users from now on have the option to switch to Microsoft Copilot AI as a personal assistant. You can activate the AI by long pressing the power button by just swiping up gesture from the bottom of the screen.

You can download the Copilot App on android devices for free, as Microsoft has said the Copilot AI to be

“fast, complex, and precise responses, as well as the ability to create breathtaking visuals from simple text descriptions”

The highlights of the application are its capability to draft emails, composing stories, summarizing large texts, translations, writing resumes, creating logos, adding custom backgrounds, creating good illustrations, curating social media content, and many more convenient features to make life a bit easier.

Microsoft has yet to make any announcement regarding the Copilot roll out on other devices as a default assistant feature. But speculation is being made to expect the feature to open to more users in upcoming months.
