The latest technology updates & more!
Buying a Kindle used to be a straightforward process, like, there were only two models: the Wi-Fi Kindle and the 3G enabled Kindle. They were basically the same, except for the different connectivity options. Nowadays, though, the selection of Kindles is much more complex. There are three models available at three different prices. So, which one is right for you? Let's dive into it.
Each of Amazon's Kindle e-book readers has a few key features in common. All of them use the same Amazon bookstore, which has a vast collection of affordable books and magazines.
However, unlike other e-book readers, it is not configured to purchase books from other sources, so all Kindle owners can only purchase books from Amazon. Luckily, Amazon still offers the widest selection of titles and is usually very affordable.

The basic Kindle is Amazon’s entry-level eReader. With last fall’s update, it has the same screen resolution as all the other models in the Kindle line-up (300 ppi) and comes with 16 GB of memory (twice the previous model’s). It also has a customizable front light and dark mode, and comes with “special offers” which means ads will pop up up as your screensaver. You’ll have to pay an extra 1660 INR to get rid of the ads.
If you’re looking for a lightweight, easy-to-read e-reader, then definitely, the Kindle is the perfect one for you. Just don’t take it in the ocean or in the bathtub, because it’s not waterproof.

The 11th generation of the Kindle Paperwhite was released in 2021 and, while it’s not as significant as the 10th generation, it has enough features to be a compelling option for both new and longtime readers.
The new Kindle Paperwhite has thinner bezels, a larger screen (6.8in), and nippier performance than ever before. It boots up and loads the Kindle store much faster than before, and the new chip that powers it is also much more efficient. Battery life goes from an impressive six weeks to an impressive ten.
The Kindle Paperwhite also has 17 LED lights with warm lighting for night-time reading, and a USB-C connection. It maintains the same Audible integration as the previous edition, and it’s waterproof too (IPX8).
There is also the 2021 version of the Kindle Paperwhite’s Signature Edition. It costs 20,334 INR for a without ads model. So, what’s the difference between the two? Well, there are many differences, but the most appreciable difference is wireless charging, which is a nice thing. However, since the regular Paperwhite only needs to be plugged in via the standard USB-C charging cable, it’s hardly a necessity.

The Amazon Kindle Oasis is the latest addition to Amazon’s range of luxury e-readers. With a starting price of 21,999 INR (starting at 8GB), it’s no wonder it’s one of the best-value e-readers on the market.
Amazon’s latest Oasis has a range of high-end features, including an adjustable warm light that lets you switch from standard white LED to amber, which promises to reduce blue light when reading before bed. It’s also got a slightly bigger battery, and you can pick it up in a pretty gold colour too.
Like the Paperwhite, the Oasis has Audible integration, so you can listen to audiobooks while you’re out and about. It’s waterproof too, so you’ll never have to worry about water passing through it by any means. The Oasis is the top-of-the-line e-reader, with a 7in touchscreen, 300ppi, 12 LEDs and a glare-free reading experience, no matter what the outdoor conditions are. It weighs 194g, so it’s little lightweight as the Paperwhite.
If you have the money to spare, then no doubts, it is the best Kindle on the market today.
The Kindle Paperwhite is everything a reader could ask for: simplicity, versatility, performance, and affordability. Not only is it the best Kindle, but it’s also our top pick for best e-reader right now.
The Kindle Paperwhite has all the features you’d expect from a Kindle, including a beautiful, paper-like display, adjustable lighting, and font size settings, a dark mode, a sharp screen (with 300 ppi), and Bluetooth (with Audible listening). You can expect the same features from any of the other Kindles in this guide, but the Paperwhite stands out for its great value for money.
It’s already sleek and modern on the outside, and when you unlock it, you’ll find the fastest performance of all Kindles, with little to no after-image ghosting. The lighting temperature is adjustable too, and the Paperwhite has a larger screen (6.8 inches vs. the standard Kindle’s 6 inches). It’s waterproof, too, and comes with USB-C charging.
It starts at 13,999 INR and is the most affordable waterproof Kindle on the market. On top of that, you can often find it on sale for under 10000 INR also, which is the normal starting price for our budget top pick. Regardless of whether it’s on sale or not, it’s the Paperwhite that offers the best value for money for most people out there.
If you’re willing to shell out a little extra cash, you’ll want to look into the more premium Kindle Paperwhite signature edition. This edition has all the same great features as the regular Paperwhite, including an auto adjustable light. It’s also one of the Kindles we would recommend you to buy.
